Lies, Falsehoods and Misrepresentations from Boris Johnson to Rishi Sunak

‎BritishEmbassySanaa @UKinYemen

Official Twitter account of the British Embassy in Sanaa

There is no current British embassy in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen. British ambassador Richard Oppenheim has never even been to Sanaa as ambassador. The British Embassy there closed down when Saudi Arabia, supported by Britain, attacked Yemen seven years ago. Richard Oppenheim and his diplomatic team divide their time between Amman and Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia – which is waging war on Yemen.

Orwellian of the Foreign Office to choose the Twitter title of BritishEmbassySanaa and the Twitter handle @UKinYemen. All the more so since the British supply of arms, strategic advice and diplomatic protection to the Saudi government means that the United Kingdom has enabled the destruction of much of Yemen including bombing raising causing a great deal of damage inside the capital Sanaa.

We approached the Foreign Office to give them a chance to comment, but received no response.
