Lies, Falsehoods and Misrepresentations from Boris Johnson to Rishi Sunak

‎It was “always clear” that trade was only unfettered from Northern Ireland to Great Britain

Lord Frost

When asked by Sam McBride, Northern Ireland Editor of the Belfast Telegraph, if the government accepts that it was profoundly dishonest when denying that it had agreed to an Irish Sea border, Lord Frost says that they were “always clear” that trade was only unfettered from NI-GB.

In 2019, Boris Johnson told Sophy Ridge that: “there’s no question of there being checks on goods going NI-GB or GB-NI.”

Lord Frost’s claim that the government was “always clear” that trade would only be unfettered from NI-GB was not true. We twice emailed Lord Frost offering him the chance to comment on this verdict. He did not reply.
