Lies, Falsehoods and Misrepresentations from Boris Johnson to Rishi Sunak

‎”The Conservative Party is the oldest, greatest political party in the world. It’s a big broad church and we don’t do deals with other parties”

Boris Johnson, Andrew Marr Show

Between 2010 and 2015 the Conservative Party governed in a coalition with the Liberal Democrats. In 2017 the party struck a £1 billion “confidence and supply” deal with the Democratic Unionist Party.

Boris Johnson was lying to Andrew Marr when he said that the Conservative Party doesn’t do deals with other parties. Marr’s failure to challenge Johnson when he was palpably lying is another example of the readiness of senior political journalists not to challenge the prime minister’s falsehoods and lies.
