Lies, Falsehoods and Misrepresentations from Boris Johnson to Rishi Sunak

‎”You deserve the truth. You deserve the facts.”

Boris Johnson, Twitter

Boris Johnson addressed ‘the Russian people’. He wrote: “To the Russian people, look at what is being done in your name. You deserve the truth. You deserve the facts.”

This website documents literally hundreds of lies and false statements uttered by Boris Johnson and ministers.

The excellent recent book by New York Times writer Michiko Kakutani: The Death of Truth: Notes on Falsehood in the Age of Trump, quotes from a Rand Corporation report on the “Putin model” of propaganda: “an unremitting, high-intensity stream of lies, partial truths, and complete fictions spewed forth with tireless aggression to obfuscate the truth and overwhelm and confuse anyone trying to pay attention.” It could be describing Boris Johnson.

The Russian people certainly deserve the truth. But Boris Johnson is Prime Minister of Britain, not Russia. We Britons deserve the truth too.

We approached Mr Johnson’s office, the Cabinet Office and the No 10 Press Office to give him a chance to comment, but received no response.
